The Denali and Denali Ultimate trims are both considered top of the line in terms of high-end amenities and comfort features. However, there are some key differences between the two; namely that the Denali Ultimate has a bunch of features not found in the Denali.

  • 2.7-liter TurboMax™: 310 horsepower & 430 pound-feet of torque 
  • 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8: 355 horsepower & 383 pound-feet of torque 
  • 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8: 420 horsepower & 460 pound-feet of torque 
  • 3.0-liter Duramax™: 305 horsepower & 495 pound-feet of torque 

Does the 2026 GMC Sierra have a diesel engine? 

Yes, the Duramax™ Turbo Diesel engine is standard on the AT4 and AT4X trims, and it’s also available as an option on the SLE, Elevation, SLT, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trims. 

What is the towing capacity of the 2026 GMC Sierra? 

Towing capacity depends on a number of factors, including the engine, drivetrain, and body style. The max towing capacity is 13,300 pounds when optioned with the Duramax™ engine, rear-wheel drive, Double Cab/Standard Bed combo, and Max Trailering Package.

What are the cab sizes for the 2026 GMC Sierra? 

The Sierra 1500 has three available cab sizes. The Regular Cab seats three people and is only available on the Pro trim. The Double Cab seats up to six and is available on the base-level Pro, SLE, and Elevation trims. Finally, the Crew Cab, which offers significantly more room in the second row, can seat up to six and is available on all trims. 

As of the current model year, the Extended Cab is no longer available for the GMC Sierra. 

What are the bed sizes for the 2026 GMC Sierra? 

There are three available bed lengths. The Short Bed measures 69.92 inches long, the Standard Bed is 79.4 inches long, and the Long Bed is 98.20 inches long. All three have nearly identicalwidths and depths.
